Food for my weary soul
Lasang Pinoy November 19th, 2005
For this month’s Lasang Pinoy, Minnette chose the theme All Pinoy Soul Food! Now that it’s getting cold, that would be perfect!
We’re on our fourth month and it seems like everyone’s enjoying the events. We keep on discovering new Filipino food blogs. We also love it when non-food bloggers join in. And we do have regulars like Atinna and Annabanana! We have lively discussions on the mailing list and look at our Iska- and Mike-designed icons!
Ever creative, I wonder how we’ll be able to translate this month’s theme into a lively feast. I’m quite excited to read the entries soon. We already have at least one but I’m not telling who sent it!
Soul food, soul food… What does soul food mean? Read Minnette’s announcement and find out where the term originated. Related to soul music? Hmmm…
Join in on the fun! The event is open to everyone. For non-bloggers, let me know if you need someone to host your entry. If you need pictures to illustrate your story, e-mail me, tell Stef or Minnette. The Lasang Pinoy community might just find one for you. We’re all generous people, no need to pilfer. We also don’t need another scandal to make Lasang Pinoy known, hehehe! Right Marketman?

hay naku, karen, i can just imagine the weariness you feel. nakaka-drain talaga pag may mga nangyayaring ganito. you guys so did not deserve this. that was such a low blow; nakakahiya! shame on that james ceniza guy. he must think very little of us food bloggers for him to have the gall to do that. INQ better make it up to you by promoting your blogs to the hilt and/or the LP series. hmp!

Hi Karen, that PDI guy is a real chump! I agree with Stef, his theft is an indication of how little he must think of food bloggers. Well, we think very little of HIM! When I think of the great service bloggers like you and Marketman provide to less experinced and aspiring cooks like me…and the time and energy you guys put into sharing your hard earned knowledge and experience…my blood just boils…grrrr
You guys have shown a great passion for what you do…something this guy obviously lacks! Phooey on him!

Dear Ms. Karen,
im sorry for using your picture (yema) in the inquirer article it was a lapse of judgement on my part for not GIVING YOU THE CREDIT, and not asking your permission before i submitted the recipe.i had the best intention pero kung nabigyan ko po kayo ng sama ng loob pasencya na po, tatanggapin ko lahat ng masasakit na salita gaya ng sa kabilang blog, humingi na rin ako ng apology kay mr. marketman it seem na ayaw nilang tanggapin.
