A boozy Lasang Pinoy VI
Lasang Pinoy January 14th, 2006
Now you can Don’t download the graphic! Two souls with much more artistic inclinations than I have took pity on the banner. We’re still It’s temporary but I need to redirecting you to Ting’s for the announcement of Lasang Pinoy 6: Let’s wash it down with booze!!
What is this about, cooking with alcohol? Oh no, no! It’s what we Filipinos call pulutan. Pulutan?!?! Etymology is pulot - to pick up. But isn’t all food…?! Well, head over to Ting’s to learn more about this. Join us in the fun. Let me know if you need a blog to host your entry. Deadline’s on the 31st of this month. Lots of time, lots of time!

It sounds interesting! It always amazes me hoe many different traditions related to food we find all over the world. Hugs,

P.S. Thank you Karen for adding a link to my blog. I’ll link back as well!

Sha, I’m sure you’ll think of something. Am here, there and everywhere as usual! Sent you an e-mail.
Chef Melissa, I should’ve done that a long time ago. I go to your site, one of my favourites, from my bookmarks. I need to update my links!
Jay, pulot-gata means honeymoon. Literally it means honey-coconut milk. For pulot = to pick up, the stress is on the first syllable. For pulot = honey, the stress is on the second syllable.
